I have never felt such strong connections with people on a spiritual level. The other nine people that took this program (we call ourselves the “Ten Tenets”) are made up of a diverse group, and yet the connection we all had was a very powerful one. Only having known them for such a short while, I feel like I’ve known them my entire life. The four facilitators of the program (Leandra, Denise, Sharon and Joanne) are the most inspiring yoginis. I can’t thank them enough for pushing me to lengths, I never thought possible.
This program was the best thing I have ever done. I have learned techniques to better myself, on and off my mat. My practice is so much stronger. I am able to do poses that I never in a million years thought I would be able to do. It left me a new person; a more authentic human being; a better version of myself. I can’t wait to begin my yoga teaching career and inspire others the way this program has inspired me. Namaste.
I went into the program looking to strengthen my practice and try on something new, not expecting it to completely give me a new sense of self and perspective. There were so many areas in my life where I had felt stuck; like I had exhausted all efforts and options. Expand Your Power gave me the tools to create change and make room for space and growth.
Denise and Leandra are powerhouse women who lead, inspire, and commit themselves to their work. Their energy and rigour is contagious and I am so grateful to have had been a part of this training with them. The things I have learned cannot be unlearned; I will forever mark this new direction of self love, living with intention, and being an authentic individual with Expand Your Power.
I have learned so much about myself and gained a deeper awareness and understanding on the importance of being intentional with my thoughts and actions.
Throughout this experience I was surrounded by so much love, support and inspiration from the facilitators, participants and the Yoga On Seven community as a whole!
On the outside we may seem different but when it comes down to it, we share so much in common. That is the beauty of this yoga practice, it is unifying!
In many ways I can say this experience has changed my life and I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to participate!
I am eager to get out there and share this amazing practice and to continue learning both on my mat, with my students and throughout my life!
We are all inspirational, strong and powerful – it is only a matter of acknowledging it 🙂
I recommend this teacher training to anyone and everyone!
My intention for taking the program was simple: self-inquiry and being open to the possibility of creating new space in my life for something that will make a difference to not only myself, but others around me. I set out to discover new things about myself and to grow as a leader in all aspects of my life. When the program concluded, I was again asked the same question about teaching yoga, and this time my answer was a Yes!
Through the journey, I felt a shift in my growth and development as a person and also in my ability to teach a yoga class. I learned valuable communication skills and gained confidence speaking in front of people. I began to use essential language, filled the space in the room when I spoke, and focused on using empowering words that would land in people’s bodies and hearts. Furthermore, I learned the importance of being a “yes” for what I want to happen, and to not be a victim of my circumstance. To remain centered and present in any given moment and realize that I have a choice in every situation life offers. Simply be a “yes” for giving up the resistance and acknowledge the thing that is in the way from allowing me to change.
Additionally, I realized how I react and respond to a certain yoga pose typically carries over to my real life situations and how I will react and respond to certain stresses, conflicts, and challenges. Replacing negative thoughts and emotions with kinder more peaceful thoughts has such an incredible impact for dealing with the physical stress of a pose and ultimately real life situations. Finally, I left the course with a powerful feeling of acceptance. Total acceptance of myself, just as I am!
It will challenge participants on a physical, emotional and intellectual level. It will change you at the core, not as a teacher, but also a person; how you view the world and people around you.
If you have the opportunity – do not hesitate!
You will not regret it!
I have heard this saying many times while practicing yoga and it has always landed with me. I fully experienced facing my fears and barriers during the Expand Your Power teacher training program where that phrase came to life and I put it into action. In doing this, I shifted my fear of I am scared and I am not good enough to I AM good enough and I AM not scared. When I let go of these limiting beliefs, I truly opened up and had honest communication with my other teachers in training. The connections we made and the love and support I have for these yogis will stay with me forever. I am so grateful that I took on this yoga teacher training.
It has strengthened my practice both physically and mentally on and off my mat. Not only has it empowered me to have the confidence to articulate and communicate to a room full of people, it has given me the tools to teach and motivate others through my love for yoga.
This confidence and communication has carried over to my relationship with family & friends, as well as my work life. I’m so proud to be a part of Yoga on Seven’s community, their love and support encouraged me to try on something new. I am forever grateful for the lifelong friendships that came from this training and everyone around me that made it successful.
